We welcome all children as full members of our church family – we believe that everyone is welcome to participate in worship in whatever way is appropriate for them.
We offer Children’s Worship at St Cuthbert’s alongside the 9.30am service, as well as running occasional Holiday Clubs and the ever popular Messy Church at key times of the year, partcularly during Christmas and Easter.
On a Sunday we explore some of the themes from the Bible Readings in a variety of ways with songs, activities, games and conversation. We encourage children to share their understanding and insights, so that we can all learn from one another.
During Communion services the Children join the rest of the congregation for the second part of the service, and can choose to sit either with their parents or with those who have been helping them during their activities.
On the first Sunday of each month and on special occaisions there is “All age” worship, when we join together in a more informal service.
During the Easter Holidays we have two exciting events for Children. The first is our “Free Easter Fun day” on March 29th. This is an activities day for Children aged 5-11. There’ll be lots of craft activities, stories, and we’ll be making our own Lunch! Registration is at St. Cuthbert’s at 9.30am; then collect your Children at 2.30pm.
